Tenafly Little League Travel Baseball Program

Tenafly Little League proudly offers a competitive Travel Baseball Program for players ages 8u–12u. Our teams compete in the NEBAS League and USABL throughout Bergen County.

TLL’s Travel Program is under the direction of Frank Salvano.

Our travel teams compete at the club level while providing players with a structured, competitive environment focused on:

Player development
Skill growth
Teamwork
Baseball IQ
Preparing players for future middle school and high school baseball

Fall 2026 Travel Tryout Information (ages 8u–12u)

 

All tryouts will take place at TLL Field.

Tuesday – June 9
8U
4:30 PM – 6:00 PM (All players report at this time)

10U
6:30 PM – 7:30 PM (All players report at this time)

Wednesday – June 10
9U
Group A (Last Names A–M): 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM
Group B (Last Names N–Z): 5:20 PM – 6:20 PM

Thursday – June 11
11U
4:15 PM – 5:15 PM (All players report at this time)

12U
5:30 PM – 7:30 PM (All players report at this time)

 

Important Reminder: In the Fall season, players try out for their "rising" age division (the division they will play in during Spring 2027).

For example, players currently playing 9U should attend the 10U tryout.

Players currently in 1st Grade should attend the 8U tryout.

Please be sure to report to the appropriate tryout.

Travel Tryout Process

Player Evaluations
An independent evaluator will assess players on baseball skills including:

Arm strength
Fielding
Hitting
Running
In addition to on-field ability, the following may also be considered:

Attitude
Effort
Behavior
Dedication to the game

Program Structure
TLL will create as many travel teams as possible to maximize participation while ensuring we can safely and effectively field competitive club-level teams.

Important Notes
All players must register and attend tryouts to be considered
Multiple teams may be formed at certain age levels
Roster spots are not guaranteed

The TLL Baseball Pathway
The TLL Travel Program serves as the foundation for future Tenafly Middle School and High School baseball players.

Playing time and positions are earned at the discretion of the coaching staff in an effort to maximize development for all players and maintain a competitive environment.
